A Lonely Trek Up a Hill

I took Lena to the Arboretum today. It was 70 degrees out. We rolled around in the sun on the perfectly manicured soft green grass under a bright blue sky. Lena even made a trek up and down a hillside.

Eating a Num Num, fueling up for the journey.
Testing out her crawling stance.
She's off.
Grover is left in her dust.
Up, up.
Yes, I'm still here behind you.
She comes back to check before turning around and going forward again.
Up, up, up!
Still here.
Time to come back, triumphant.
We had a great time at the Arboretum. The scent of flowers was everywhere. It was very fragrant today. This evening, Lena and I went to visit our friends Josh, Jen, and Hazel for the Mardi Gras party their building puts on every year. While there Lena took two independent steps. Her first steps! A two-step for Mardi Gras.
