Play Time at 11 Months

Puzzle time

Here's a quick look at playtime with Lena. She played with her wooden puzzle first, then she started blowing raspberries and making faces. Then, she stood up and did a little dance. Next, she played with her tennis ball and turtle shell before turning to read a book. Taken today, Monday, February 27.

I took these photos of Lena on our bed in our room on Saturday, February 25. The lamp gave her a warm glow and the lens started to cause some distortions as she came too close, but look at her pretty face.

Picnic with a LIttle Friend

Last Thursday, February 23, we had a picnic at the Arboretum with Misty and Sydney. Look how Sydney is growing! She is 4 days younger than Lena. The girls ate snacks, crawled, and played. We'll have to work on sharing.

Another Day at the Park

I know, more swing pictures! The weather has been so nice, we've been going for walks daily.  Here is Lena at Lindsley Park on the swings on Friday, February 24. I love taking photos of her on the swing because she looks so happy!

A Lonely Trek Up a Hill

I took Lena to the Arboretum today. It was 70 degrees out. We rolled around in the sun on the perfectly manicured soft green grass under a bright blue sky. Lena even made a trek up and down a hillside.

We had a great time at the Arboretum. The scent of flowers was everywhere. It was very fragrant today. This evening, Lena and I went to visit our friends Josh, Jen, and Hazel for the Mardi Gras party their building puts on every year. While there Lena took two independent steps. Her first steps! A two-step for Mardi Gras.

Pink Hoodie and Baby

Okay, some of these shots are blurry, but they are too cute. Lena is on the move! I shot these on Feb. 17. She loves her baby. She is very sweet about hugging her and carrying her around. They both look good in pink.

New Cousin - Sigourney

Welcome Lena's newest cousin, Sigourney! She was born Saturday, February 4, to my sister Amanda. She weighed 10 lbs. 7 oz. and measured 21 1/4 inches. (Lena was 9 lbs. 4 oz. and 21 1/2 inches.) She's had an adventure so far! Lena and I went to visit Amanda, Sai, and Sigourney yesterday at their house in Arlington, but I forgot to take any pictures. I think Amanda took some.

Todd and I came to visit them at the hospital on Monday, Feb. 6.

Sigourney went to Cook's Childrens Hospital in FW Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 9-11 for dehydration. I went to visit Saturday before they checked out.
