Brunch Time

Last weekend Todd's mother and aunt came to visit. Aunt Karen came from Arkansas and his mom was up from Houston. His uncle Mike, who lives in Dallas, joined us for brunch. While they played with Lena that afternoon, Todd and I went to a movie. Lena seemed to enjoy all the attention!

Evening at the Park

We went for a walk last Monday night, May 16. Todd carried Lena in the Bjorn. We met up with Josh, Jen and Hazel at the playground. We even saw Hiroe ride by who stopped to talk about the yarn bombing meeting that I missed. Jen and I hooped while Hazel played and Josh and Todd talked. Then they stopped by our house where we gave Hazel the dog and vet kit we bought at IKEA in Austin. She named him Fluffy.

Last week we went to the Dallas Arboretum twice. Monday we met Mom and Dad on a cool sunny day and walked around with the Ergo Baby carrier. Thursday, we dropped by and met Karen, Allison, and Sophie for a stroll through Peter Rabbit's house and other Beatrix Potter inspired flower houses. How nice to have such a lovely park so close by.

Anime Baby

I love how big Lena's eyes are in these pictures. It's the triple highlights in her eyes that remind me of anime. Todd was occupying Lena at the Woolie Ewe in Plano while I was yarn shopping a few weekends ago. Sadly, their alpaca lace selection was wanting. I had to order it online instead, but I did pick up some mohair.

Lucas and Ethan's 2nd Birthday Party

Lena went to her cousins' birthday party last weekend. Lucas and Ethan turned two! Here we are at the party. By the way, Lena is officially two months old today, May 13. We celebrated by going to a graduation party for Consuelo. It was great to see Consuelo and Shane in TX again.

For Mother's Day Todd took pictures of Lena while I was out. Isn't she cute? Scroll to the bottom to see Bradley helping out. Today we went to the doctor's office for her two-month check up. She's 13 lbs. and 7 oz. and 25 inches. She's in the 95th percentile for weight and in the 100th percentile for height. She's so healthy.

First Mother's Day

I'm so excited about our first Mother's Day. I went for my first run this morning since Lena was born. Todd is making brunch. We're having a nice day. Here is a video Todd shot a few days ago of Lena smiling and cooing.

Getting Ready

This weekend we went to the wedding of our good friends John and Nicole in Austin. Here we are at the hotel getting ready for the big night out. Lena is wearing a dress that my sister Sarah gave us and a special headband and matching flower by my friend Silla of Silla Soup, a fellow Etsy Dallas member. This was her first trip out of town and her first time to wear shoes (thanks to Todd's aunt Karen for the cute white shoes).
